Private transfer Nice Airport → Grasse

Grasse is not on the sea: it is the town of the perfumers, perched in the hinterland, surrounded by fields of jasmine and roses. The journey from the airport leaves the coast and climbs towards the hills; a chauffeur takes you there for a perfumery visit, a quiet retreat or a stay in a country house.

From the coast to the hinterland: 45 minutes

The way is simple at the start: the A8 westbound, then the expressway that climbs towards Grasse. The last part crosses residential districts and hill roads, where traffic can get heavy at office hours and during school holidays. Off-peak, allow forty-five to fifty-five minutes for roughly forty kilometres.

The return journey to the airport needs more margin than you might think: the old town is a maze of one-way streets. Give us your flight time and we set the departure so you arrive calmly.

Perfumeries, museum and old town

Grasse is recognised for its perfume-making know-how, which is on UNESCO's list of intangible cultural heritage. Visitors come for perfumeries open to the public such as Fragonard, Molinard or Galimard, for the International Perfume Museum and for the workshops where you compose your own fragrance. The chauffeur can drop you at the perfumery of your choice and collect you at the end of the visit.

The streets of the old town are narrow, steep and often pedestrian. A drop-off at the nearest accessible square, followed by a short walk, is the best option: the chauffeur helps with your luggage as far as your door.

Roses in May, jasmine in summer, country houses and villages

The Grasse calendar follows the flowers: the centifolia rose in May, with the Exporose event, and jasmine in late summer, which peaks with the Jasmine Festival in early August. Those weeks bring crowds to the centre and the car parks fill quickly. Book early if you plan to attend.

Many travellers continue to country hotels, bastide houses or villages in the Grasse area such as Cabris or Gourdon. Give the exact address of your accommodation, because access roads are narrow and the chauffeur prepares the route in advance.
